The Ronix Utopia is the wakeboard designed by Trent Stuckey, rider of the year and winner of legendary competitions such as the Wake Duel or the Langenfeld Open. Departing from a conventional construction, this wakeboard has the thinnest tip and tail profile you'll find in the Ronix collection, allowing you to nail your tail-press or tip-press tricks with ease and style.
RIDING STYLE: PARK ADVANCED | CONSTRUCTION: VERTICAL WOOD | ROCKER: CONTINUOUS | FLEX: VARIABLE FLEX
The continuous rocker of the Ronix Utopia wakeboard will allow you to go fast in the water and give you good stability in the park modules. The flexibility provided by the soft curve between the boots will soften the landings on the hardest tricks, which your knees will surely appreciate. Available in two sizes, 147cm and 151cm, this wakeboard has the channels slightly tucked inward so that you don't notice them when you attack a wakepark module. The Utopia has a concave shape at both the tip and tail to facilitate rail tricks and improve performance in the water. At Simple Wake we tested it in the park and we were amazed. The board inserts for the bindings are closer together than normal to accommodate Trent Stuckey's stance preferences. Ronix has added 4 additional inserts to offer more width options and thus be able to find the ideal position for each rider, whatever their height, weight and style.
Flex and construction
The Utopia is part of Ronix's family of variable flex wakeboards, built with vertical Paulownia wood stringers from tip to tail. The core is tapered from the center to both ends creating a variable flex that increases performance when pressure is applied. The board offers medium reactivity in the central parts and high reactivity in the tip and tail for powerful ollies.
Paulownia wood is ideal for park boards; It is resistant to give a long life to your wakeboard equipment and offers a similar feeling to snowboarding when taking off from the wave. It will also give you optimal sensations on ollies and rail press tricks. The edges, finished with vertically poured urethane, allow high speeds in the water and provide additional protection against impacts that can be caused by the multiple floating threats that we encounter in the cable park.
The core is constructed with Ronix's Air Core 3, a lightweight, responsive foam imported from Italy. The resistant Kripto Cable from Ronix, created from different fibers, surrounds the board until it fuses with the core, which makes the edges the most resistant part of the wakeboard, not the weakest. The sintered base is very solid and durable. The sintering process consists of heating the powdered conglomerates without reaching melting temperature so that their particles join together and thus offer maximum resistance.
